Daily Prayer

O Lord, our heavenly Father, almighty and everlasting God, you have brought us safely to the beginning of this day: Defend us by your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin nor run into any danger; and that guided by your Spirit, we may do what is righteous in your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
— A Collect for Grace

You can begin and end each day in prayer and bible reading using the morning and evening prayer services. In doing so you will be joining with Christians worldwide in this daily rhythm of meeting with our good Father.

If you can, read and pray with others (as a family, with roommates, with other church members). You can also use these services to pray alone. Substitute "I" for "we", "me" for "us", etc throughout the prayers.

Daily Morning Prayer and Daily Evening Prayer are the established rites (offices) by which, both corporately and individually, God’s people annually encounter the whole of the Holy Scriptures, daily confess their sins and praise Almighty God, and offer timely thanksgivings, petitions and intercessions.
